St. Ambrose Catholic School welcomes students of all racial and ethnic backgrounds. Preference in admissions is given to children of parishioners and siblings of current students. Registration of new students begins in February.
To be eligible for St. Ambrose parishioner tuition rates, a family must be parish members and be active in the parish by attending Mass and using their offering envelopes regularly.
- Completed application form, with application fee
- Original or copy of student's birth certificate. Must be presented to school personnel for verification.
- Copy of baptismal certificate, if student is Catholic.
- Teacher narrative completed by the student's current teacher.
- Records from student's current school, including a copy of the student's last report card and standardized test results. Please sign and return the Request for Release of Records form, authorizing the school to send us this information.
- Interview with the principal (at her discretion) once all records have been received.
- Copy of immunization records and Virginia State Physical Examination form documenting a physical performed since September 1 of last year.
Children will be admitted to St. Ambrose School on a space available basis according to the following priorities:
- Siblings of current students
- Children of St. Ambrose parishioners*
- Children of Catholic non-parishioners
- Children of non-Catholics
*In-parish - implies registered families who attend Mass here on Sundays and use their envelopes faithfully.
